INFORMAL HAND TIED
CASKET & SYMPATHY sHEAFS

For families seeking a softer alternative to traditional funeral sprays, my hand-tied casket and sympathy sheafs offer a natural, garden-inspired tribute.
Created using seasonal flowers grown on 'the Lopmint' and locally sourced blooms, these arrangements reflect a simple, classical and sustainable approach to funeral flowers in Dorset and along the South Coast.
Sheafs are available in two sizes. An abundant 2-foot casket sheaf can be placed gently on top of the casket as a main tribute, while a smaller sympathy sheaf may accompany the casket or be placed beside the graveside or service courtyard. These smaller sheafs are often chosen by extended family members or friends who wish to offer their own personal tribute and can later be taken home in remembrance by the immediate family.
Unlike a traditional gifting bouquet, funeral sheafs are carefully arranged with a flat base and a softly arched shape, allowing each stem to be seen and appreciated. After the service, the flowers can easily be rearranged into a vase at home, offering a quiet and lasting reminder of your loved one.

My commitment to sustainability
All designs use sustainable floristry practises with seasonal blooms grown here on my Dorset based micro flower farm or sourced locally wherever possible.
My tribute Sheafs are hand tied with string and finshed with jute ribbon which ensures that your tribute will be
eco-friendly and fully bio degradable.
The designs are loose & natural, garden-inspired and elegant — suitable for all types of services & final resting places whether that be traditional cemeteries, coastal or woodland eco sites that often forbid the use of plastic.

Personal tribute cards for your personal messages are made with recycled paper & spiked using wooden card holders

Seasonal Designs &
COLOUR PALETTES
Casket Flower Designs include one or two focal flowers, at least one line flower, two to three small-to-medium mass flowers, and one or two filler or highlighter varieties, creating a full yet natural tribute.
I will guide you on which flowers are in season and help you choose varieties that create an abundant, loose, and natural arrangement.
You’re welcome to request a colour palette, such as: Whites and greens, Pinks and pastels, Pale yellows and apricots, Lilacs and blues
At The Lopmint, I grow many different shades of each bloom to offer as much variety as possible. However, as all flowers are seasonal, colour availability depends on what is in bloom at the time.
If your preferred palette isn’t available for your date, I’ll let you know as soon as possible.
Alternatively, you may choose Florist’s Choice, featuring a beautiful blend of the best seasonal flowers available, arranged in a natural mix of colours.

ENQUIRE
Please do not hesitate to contact me to make an enquiry and I will get back to you with any further information required.
It would be great if you would enquire or order at least 1 week prior to the funeral to allow us to have enough time to plan together your floral tributes. An order confirmation with your details will be emailed to you to check over.
CONFIRM
Once you receive your 'order confirmation' you will need to let me know asap if you would like me to make any changes to the details. Confirmation of your order given 48 hours prior to the service will allow me enough time to cut (or source) the flowers & make sure they are in full bloom & properly conditioned ready for your service
PAYMENT
Once the final details have been confirmed I will email through an invoice.
Payment will need to be made prior to the date of the service
DELIVERY
If you have not already done so, I will call the undertakers on your behalf to confirm the date and time that the delivery of the casket tributes must be delivered. Some undertakers prefer the day before, whilst others have no 'cooler' storage capacity; and prefer the flowers to be delivered prior to the hearse departing on the day of the service

The casket tribute(s) and any other tributes which will accompany the hearse on your loved ones final journey
will be delivered to the undertakers as requested
collection
Any other flower tributes that are not to 'accompany' the hearse, including church service flowers, and wake reception flowers should be collected directly from Lopmint & Purdy studio the day prior to the service. On request and subject to availability, local delivery can be made for a charge if you prefer
hire returns
For any 'service' flowers that have used urns or vases, these should be returned to Lopmint & Purdy within two weeks of the service to ensure that your deposit can be refunded
